Around the Farm

Yum
Life has been a little busy. Just the general summer fun of flowers, veggies, and everything else in between.

So, I thought I would give you a little photo update of what's going on around the farm.

I spied our first blossoms on the beans. So excited!

Today's "freshly picked" was strawberries, peas, and cabbage.

We planted a few cosmos in the garden. Thought the bee's would like them.

Queen of the Farm is not a fan of the heat, so we see a lot of this pose.

These two. If they see me, they come running. Hoping for treats, of course.

Hummingbirds are back. Never get tired of watching them.

Have a great week!

  1. Yay for flowers on the beans! I am jealous of the peas. We never get our garden started early enough to give them a fair chance. Our strawberries were dismal this year, but we are getting a good crop of blackberries. I hope you had a great weekend!

  5. Oh, I love the hummingbird! I never tire of watching them either. I'll go outside to water and get lost watching the hummingbird battles. They are magical. Your strawberries look so good, I'm still anxiously awaiting mine. I've got lots of little berries that just need to ripen though! I love your chickens, I can't wait until the hubby I foray into that!! :-)

    Have a great week Kris!

  7. we're having equal amounts of good luck and bad luck with our garden--some things are thriving and some have been devastated by DEER and squash vine borers. looks like you're gonna have a great year!

    1. UGH! We had those squash bugs a couple years back. I've never had so much damage in on year. Hope you can get the deer to leave you alone!
